They say if you fall
get back on the horse
but those saying that
have never fallen of course
busybodies and know it alls
turn sunny mornings into rain squalls
plot takeovers from bathroom stalls
go ahead and interfere if so inclined
but I'll get up in my own sweet time
in my own sweet time
Coal and gravel
and a bugs eye view
and a brand new outlet
to spittle and spew
as long as it's not a lethal dose
near the edge but not too close
who are you to diagnose
being miserable ain't no crime
and I'll get up in my own sweet time
in my own sweet time
Man is born to woman
then all bets are off
either up on the mountain
or down in the trough
the search for love
can lead anywhere
from a castle to a room
with nobody there
What's in my head
is hard to explain
it's like a poorly funded
political campaign
but it belongs to me
a peculiar absentee
from your coterie
and after all, it's my own dime
so I'll get up in my own sweet time
in my own sweet time
