When George met Cindy it was a sight to see
backseat of the presidential SUV
he said "they tried to kill my daddy" she said "you killed my son"
and George said "honey you ain't the only one"

When George met Cindy...he brought a crucifix
given to him by a soldier at Fort Dix
he said "hey...you want it?...I got enough of these
besides the boy only lost his leg below the knee"

When George met Cindy he spoke of liberty
the cliches where strewn like profanity
she said "but tell me why my boy had to die"
he said "it ain't easy being my kind of guy"

When George met Cindy he brought along the twins
they brought the Papst Blue Ribbon and the violins
Cindy said "tell me girls why aren't you in Iraq"
"Daddy said if we went we might not come back"

When George met Cindy he spoke of liberty
the cliches where strewn like profanity
she said "but tell me why my boy had to die"
he said "it ain't easy being my kind of guy"

When George met Cindy and finally had his say
another American boy died half a world away
another Mother got a letter from the Pentagon
if you can save the kings sacrifice the pawns
