Credit Card Boogie

I never have much money
Even though I got a real good job
I never have much money
Even though I got a real good job
I want to live like a king
But Iım just another working slob

Got a letter from my banker
He sent me a credit card
Got a letter from my banker
He sent me a credit card
He said, "You deserve the good life,
I know youıve been working hard."

He said take a vacation
You could use a break
With this plastic money
You wonıt have to wait
Oh this credit card boogie
It's the only way to fly
You can pay the bill
If you work a little overtime

Iım careful how I use it
I only buy the things that I want
Iım careful how I use it
I only buy the things that I want
And a couple times a week
I eat in a restaurant

They say I have good credit
My banker must have spread the news
They say I have good credit
My banker must have spread the news
Now all the bankers love me
They all sent me credit cards too

Mastercard, Discover, American Express,
Diners Club, and Visa
My life is such a mess
This credit card boogie
Is really dragging me down
Iım going under for the third time
But they just wonıt let me drown

Lord almighty,
I think I owe more than I earn
Lord almighty,
I think I owe more than I earn
But with minimum payments
I still got money to burn

Opened up the mailbox
Nothinı but credit card bills
Opened up the mailbox
Nothinı but credit card bills
Iım a pig at the trough
Never gonna get my fill

I need a vacation
I could use a break
I love this plastic money
Cause I donıt have to wait
Head on down to Disney
Or maybe take a cruise
Let the credit card boogie
Drive away these paycheck blues

Mastercard, Discover, American Express,
Diners Club, and Visa
My life is such a mess
This credit card boogie
Is really dragging me down
Iım going under for the third time
But they just wonıt let me drown
Iım going under for the third time
But they just wonıt let me drown
